Left-handed Drawing
The illustration shown here was done on a Wacom tablet with my left hand. It is digital, and it was necessary to draw southpaw because about a month ago I dropped a huge cabinet on my right hand while kneeling on the garage floor preparing for our impending move. I won't go into all the sordid details, as I have told and retold the story a couple of dozen times in the intervening three weeks, and I am tired of telling it. Plus, the more I tell it, the madder I get at myself.
I messed it up badly enough that I had to have surgery 11 days ago. There are a couple of tiny plates and a little tiny pin in my right ring finger. I am waiting 10 more days to see the hand doctor and find out how the healing is going and what kind of rehabilitation I will need. I have really messed it up, it seems.
Looking at this blog, I see I have not entered anything in over a year, which is no big deal. Not that anyone was holding their breath for the next post. I will keep entertaining myself with these little posts, sporadic as they may be.
