Andrew Drumphson
and a new Trail of Tears
Maybe shouldn't even be posting this. It comes from a deep well of discontent and, well, downright disgust and crazed loathing for the administration occupying the White House, now into its fourth week of despicableness... despicability?... whatever... downright insane, selfish wickedness.
In my thinking, no matter what comes out of the mouth of The Orange Man, the Gulf of Mexico remains the Gulf of Mexico. Denali is Denali. Greenland will remain Greenland, and Canada Canada (Oh, Canada!).
And The Orange Man remains The Orange Man (TOM, for short).
He wants to emulate one of his heroes, Andrew Jackson; the guy who sent the whole Cherokee nation on the Trail of Tears from their homes in the southern Appalachians to what is now Oklahoma. The Seminoles from Florida, the Choctaw from Mississippi, and other nations were also sent to that place.
TOM, for his part, wants to remove all the Palestinians from their homes (such as they are) in Gaza and send them on a 21st century version of a Trail of Tears. Seems he sees great possibilities for the Gaza Strip... the "Riviera of the Middle East." When asked at the briefing in which he unveiled this plan what would become of the Palestinians whose homes are in Gaza, he indicated they would have to leave while their place was being renovated but that they would be able to come back and have great employment opportunities. In subsequent remarks, he has said they would not be coming back... but maybe they would... but, no, probably not. Always a straight shooter, this "we'll see what happens" guy.
Where would they go? Egypt or Jordan was his speculation. Those countries were understandably thrilled.
Oh, and this just in. TOM just posted a short AI-generated video (click on that link) on Truth Social. The post on that social media shit-site went up just a couple of hours ago and is getting a lot of negative kickback from all over the world and within the GOP, so it may be gone by the time you read this; "you" being my legion of readers!Peace to all, and pass the SPF 50, Bibi.
(and this note... I think I'll stay away from political commentary in the future. However, I will be updating my Presidential Gallery of Rogues, noting Carter's date of death, Biden's term of office, and creating a post for the 47th president, Harry Bolz, portrayed at the Resolute Desk in the illustration at the top. Going to concentrate on popular culture and other crap like that.)
